I used to grow many different basil types for culinary and medicine- Richo Cech with Strictly Medicinal Seeds out of Oregon has a great video and description (in chat box of class) - but also a huge list of interesting seeds, herbs, etc- for those who want to grow their own-- (note- he lists species information, so look at species instead of common name) https://strictlymedicinalseeds.com/ also has a lot of tips for growing. video on tulsi differences in his blog here: https://blog.strictlymedicinalseeds.com/about/ also- if you want to have true 'biotic' based soil feed, my family always used peaty swamp /top soil /farm animal excrement for organic fertilizer in years past. Recently I found an excellent Peaty liquid 'fertilizer' called PTBoost that has been the best I have found. I spoke to the people, who explained it is truly natural -- not easy to certify organic but I have had a lot of luck with seedling transfers, etc even in pots, and have moved sprout/hydroponic started seeds to pots and flowered orchids -- check PTBOOSTER.com -- so far my culinary herbs have stronger scent, might help with medicinals that need more soil nutrient.
