Hello dear fellow students, It's getting real, isn't it? :) So excited (and a little nervous) about coming up with formulas for the case studies starting soon! Anyhow... I'm still searching for a good herb powdering machine. I'm using the type that Amanda used in her demos - decent, but it's slow, small, and doesn't grind to a fine enough powder for me. The grinder Rich uses and recommends (sold by Mayway in the past) is not available on their website, and my inquiries to them have led nowhere. I've got a friend in NYC inquiring around China Town, so maybe I'll have luck there. Wondering if any of you are really happy with a machine you're using, and, if so, where you got it. I'm willing to invest $$$ in this as I'm starting to make tinctures and I want them to be wonderful :) TIA. See you on the chat.

Hey Lisa, I found this one about a year ago and grabbed one because the price wasn’t too bad. So far I’ve been pretty happy with it. It renders dried plants down to a SUPER fine powder shockingly fast. Doesn’t feel like the most well built machine, but so far so good. Oh and they do have smaller sizes that aren’t quite so expensive depending on what batch size you’re trying to do.

Thanks, Sajah! Great to know this has worked well for you. Have you powdered any kinda tough dry roots in it, by chance?

We ran some Oregon grape in there and it worked great. I wouldn’t say it’s the toughest of roots though but it did work well for what it’s worth

Sajah, I did purchase one of the units you recommended (slightly smaller), and it's working very well - thanks again!
