In patient with severe cervical neck pain who has had extensive neck surgery for cervical spine stenosis, pressure on spinal cord with brachial radiculopathy both sharp and stabbing and also throbbing pain which is dull. Pt is 78 years old but incredibly resilient and wanting herbal pain relief rather than pharmaceuticals. Patient is presently on Gabapentin at night. I have given patient recommendations for Mg. as well as herbal product Nature's Plus Ultra Inflam Actin containing Hops, Turmeric, Ginger, Boswellia, Bromelain, Feverfew and MSM. This formulation has been good personally for me for arthritic knees. Patient has much osteoarthritis in her spine. I wanted to add some Kava along with Black Cohosh, Sweet Melilot, Kudzu , Horsechestnut and Ashwaganda in a formula for her, but I don't know what to do about the Gabopentin.
Could you advise me about this. I would appreciate it so much , Dave. She tried much PT, pain medicine interventions and recently went through nerve ablation therapy, without help.
