Hi David, would you please let me know the alcohol percentage for Anemopsis californica root tincture? I grew a plant (in Germany) for two years now (Winter indoors). This summer she had no flowers. Do you think I should harvest the roots now or wait one more year? Should I tincture the leaves seperately and which alcohol percentage would that be? Thank you very much for your answer. I am not sure if the plant will do well over the winter. Last winter she looked very unhappy indoors. Best, Kirsten

60% ETOH. I'm not sure when you should harvest the roots, I have only harvested wild plants, no ides how old they were. I am only familiar with the root being used, I have not heard of anyone using the leaf and the plant should be able to survive over winter outdoors, even though it grows in the American Southwest I have seen it growing at pretty high elevations which get cold, snowy winters.

I have used the dried root, but I believe the fresh root could be used as well.
