Valerian hangover

Do you find this to be a common side effect of valerian? What would cause it? Hangover effects more specifically being grogginess, brain fog, physical and mental slowness. I'm curious if it's a function of the GABA, which in high doses can turn people into noodles, as a way of putting it. (Also had no idea plants actually contain GABA.) Thanks!

Valerian does not contain enough GABA to do this, it is a relatively common side effect of Valerian. As to why it occurs, there is no known mechanism, beyond its “sedative” and relaxing effects.
