Is there anything that could be included in a formula in which turmeric is used to counterbalance or at least reduce the effects of the oxalates?

Use Curcumin instead, nothing will counteract the oxalates in Turmeric, although you can increase water consumption and take magnesium/potassium citrate which help increase urinary citrate levels and enhance excretion of oxalates.
