Mentioned in the notes from the Tienchi Ginseng monograph: "According to Alan Tillotson, Ph.D., RH(AHG), Tienqi has antileukemic activity. Use it with Cordyceps, Isatis and Chinese Asparagus/Tian Men Dong as part of a protocol for CLL ..." I am wondering what parts you would recommend or if there's a specific group of 2-3 formulations I can prescribe a new patient with what he called "Stage 0" CLL (I am awaiting confirmation from his MD). But he's already eating well and using some other medicinal mushrooms like reishi, chaga, and diet etc, and exercises 4 days per week lifting weights. He doesn't sleep well. He's recently divorced and has zero libido to date. He's lifting heavy weights doing Olympic lifting with a strength training coach can't recovery as well as he would like. I can and will get more information since we haven't done a complete intake yet. I wanted to get some basic thoughts from you before starting to work with him. Thank you in advance.

You want to treat the person and so the formula will vary depending on the specifics of his case. As a general formula something like 2 parts Tienqi, 1/2 part Cordyceps, 1 part Strobilanthus/Nan Ban Lan Gen or Isatis/Ban Lan Gen or Isatis leaf/Da Qing Ye, 2 parts Astragalus and 2 parts Tian Men Dong may be of some benefit.
