You mentioned not to use in a triune formula? What if it was used in a triune formula for an individual with normal liver enzymes for 4 weeks and swapped out for some other 1/18th herb after that? Is that a possibility?

Yes, but it is unlikely 4 weeks of He Shou Wu would be very therapeutically useful. It is considered a tonic herb and used long-term in China. Unfortunately it is also the number 1 herb causing liver damage in China.
