Hello! I'm curious if you've ever treated someone with excess keratin production (showing up mostly in the skin, with keratin plugs, roughness, and inflammatory flare-ups)? I'm inclined to focus on gut and immune system balance but wondered if there were other factors, or protocols to consider. Thank you.

Not that I can recall, there may or may not be an immune component. I would use alteratives, anti-inflammatories, liver herbs (useful for chronic skin conditions). I have seen something like this in people with thyroid issues, Atopy, B vitamin deficiencies, a lack of vitamin C or omega 3 fatty acids, and zinc. Specific herbs to consider depending on symptom picture Gotu Kola, Burdock Seed, Sarsaparilla, Figwort, Burdock root, Turmeric, Chai Hu, Boswellia, Gotu Kola, Holy Basil, Schisandra, Amla, Sarsaparilla, Sage, Rhodiola, Hibiscus (tea), Hawthorn, Rose hits (tea), Cat’s Claw, Ginger, Bacopa, etc.
