I had basal cell carcinoma in 2019 that was removed on my left shoulder. The dermatologist did not get clear margins. A small piece resurfaced where there was not clear margins and I had it removed by curettage and electrocautery yesterday (05/05/22).
In 2019 the dermatologist asked me to use Tretinoin (Retin-A) on my face and I chose not to use it. I do have a family history of skin cancer (Mother-brother 1-basal cell and brother 2-Dad-Melanoma). I have had a place frozen on my chest. The other biopsy taken from the chest was not cancer. I am waiting results from a biopsy removed yesterday on side of face at hairline border. I have had no positive cancer on my face or chest just the left shoulder.
Would you personally use this prescription on your face at night or would you be looking at something else? I do control my blood sugar and keep a very clean diet. I just wanted your personal opinion on using Tretinoin (Retin-A) prescription. I am on no medications.
Thank you!
