Hi David
In reflecting on the use of partridge berry and other astringents (Agrimony, Schisandra etc.) for atonicity in the lower jiao, I am assuming that someone with constipation would experience a worsening of their symptoms. Would you in this case add in more moistening or even mucilaginous herbs into the protocol to help with this?
Is the drying quality of these tonifying herbs a part of why they are effective in helping bladder prolapse, etc. and so would they be less effective when used with moistening herbs?
Thank you,
Adam
