Hi David, I was wondering if you’ve had success treating angular chealitis herbally? I am thinking anti fungal or anti bacterials are needed perhaps internally and orally. I’m not sure why (masks?), I’ve seen so many more people with this in the past year and a half! Not coming to be to treat that, but it shows up. It can last weeks, months even, not responding to all manner of simply lubricating topicals or calendula. I’m thinking damp-heat. Thanks for any thoughts.

It is usually caused by a Candida infection , so herbs that inhibit Candida are indicated - Cardamom, Fireweed (Epilobium), Berberine -containing herbs, combined with vulnerary herbs - plantain leaf, chickweed, Gotu Kola can work. Also a B vitamin deficiency can worsen or cause this (or something that looks very much like it).
