From what I've read David has been working with spagyric medicine and the preparations in Herbalist and Alchemists are prepared using this method. I would be really interested to hear what you experience is in using extracts prepared in an spagyric way compared to those prepared in the conventional way. In my experience the addition of the salts extracted trough calcination seam to bring out subtle properties of the herbs, would you agree with this? What other differences have you noticed? Do you work only with tinctures with their integrated salts or do you work with other alchemical preparations like spagyric essences and Ens? I'm very passionate about the alchemical work and would love to hear the experience of someone with a depth of understanding in plant work such as yours. Thanks you.

There are 2 types of spagyrics, I only do calcining and adding the white ash back into the tincture, to add the earth element (minerals) into the tincture . The full spagyric process destroys many constituents , and at the soma time increases some constituents like essential oils. I don’t see subtle properties, I see the addition of the plants mineral content which is very important for many (not all) medicinal plants. I am not familiar with Ens I’m very passionate about the alchemical work and would love to hear the experience of someone with a depth of understanding in plant work such as yours. We will discuss this further in our Pao Zhi class (in February I think)
