Roasted Dandelion Root

Hi David, I believe it was last week a student asked if roasting dandelion root changed it medicinally and you replied that it ruined it medicinally. Which was a surprise to me! Roasting it does decrease the bitterness and decreases the inulin content a bit. But since so many herbs are roasted to enhance their properties, why is dandelion root different? Thanks David! Not only does roasting reduce the bitterness and inulin content it causes thermal degradation of multiple other constituents such as Luteolin, sesquiterpene lactones, triterpenoids, etc they are all damaged by temperatures used when roasting the roots.
