Is it safe to use the flower and leaves of Corn poppy (Flanders poppy) and what would be the best way to prepare it? It is apparently a Cretan folk remedy used as asleep aid for children.

It is used in Southern Europe but I have not used it. Check Maude Grieve's Modern Herbal for info on its use.
