This is a question for David. Thanks so much for taking the time to consider – I’m aware that cancer support/treatment is something that David usually refers out but I’m still interested in hearing his thoughts if possible. I have a 52 year old acupuncture client and mother of 2 school age children that has been dealing with cancer for about 10 years.
She came through breast cancer but in the past few years has learned that it has moved to her spine in multiple vertebrae. Her most recent medication to fight this is Enhertu and since taking, the growth of the cancer seems to have slowed. The Enhertu, which she takes via injection every 5 weeks causes nausea and vomiting which lasts for 2-3 days as well as hair thinning/loss. She went to a functional medicine doctor , who specializes in supporting cancer patients, and he renewed her prescription for Zofran and recommended a 1:1 CBD / THC tincture to deal with digestive issues. He then also recommended subcutaneous mistletoe injections and high dose melatonin – both to help with quality of life and prolonging life. I wondered if you have any input or thoughts on the use of mistletoe and high dose melatonin in the case above or with metastasized cancer more generally as a means to address quality/length of life. Thanks again for your time & consideration! Peace, Marnie
