herbs and hemorrhagic ovarian cysts

Do we need to exercise caution when using blood moving herbs to help resolve a non-malignant, hemorrhagic ovarian cyst? Can these types of plants cause more bleeding within the mass - leading to further complications? Have you ever seen this happen, and do you have any further insights?

Most blood moving herbs, also stop abnormal bleeding, so I don’t think there will be an issue. While I have seen Dang gui cause heavy menstrual bleeding, it is commonly used in formulas to shrink ovarian cysts and stop bleeding.
