Use of herbs that potentiate meds

Hello David, I would appreciate a reminder of whether we should avoid using herbs, for triune purposes, that potentiate meds a case is on. For example, if someone is on anxiolytics and the MM says the herb "may potentiate... pharmaceutical... anxiolytics due to an additive effect", but it doesn't say it's contraindicated, is it best to avoid? On the other hand, I'm thinking it could work the other way around, and it might actually be a good thing to potentiate certain meds. Thanks very much, Lisa

It depends on the strength of the herb and the potential for an additive effect. It can be a good thing or bad depending on the person, medication, dose, etc.
