Piperine with Turmeric

Hi David, In the Pipali Long Pepper MM, you reference a study by Shoba et als. that piperine increased the bioavailability of turmeric by 2000%. If your patient is not on any CYP3A pharmaceutical or any medication for that matter, would you add in a small amount of Pipali Long Pepper when prescribing Turmeric where it is appropriate? It seems to me that turmeric and pipali long pepper could go well together with the above mentioned caveat. Or am I missing something? Thank you! Nina

Yes Pippali Long Pepper or Black Pepper can be added to Turmeric, although the traditional combination is Turmeric and Ginger.
