Hi David, I hope you are enjoying the season of watching the plants rest. It is reminding me to try and do the same. :) My 22 yo son, J, had been diagnosed with adenoiditis (they are weeping) and my understanding is that his adenoids are so swollen that it is blocking his hearing by 20-30 decibels. The ENT prescribed a nasal spray Fluticasone Propionate, Prednisone (5mg), and Amox-Clax 875-125 mg. But the ENT is not hopeful that his adenoids will return to normal size within a month and will probably recommend removing the adenoids. I am not fond of removing them since I feel like they have a certain function within our bodies. Either way, my son will be getting a second opinion. J has been taking Astragalus since March 2023, 7 Precious Mushroom since Sept 2023. I just purchased the Sinus Support Compound but he hasn't started it with the other medications he is currently on (from ENT). Do you have any thoughts about whether J can shrink his adenoids and heal without having an adenoidectomy? Have you had any success with this type of condition? Super grateful for your help and wisdom, Nina Edwards

I have not had a great deal of experience or success with the limited number of cases I have treated. What I would try is stopping the Astragalus and 7 Precious Mushrooms for now, take the Sinus Support (probably at a higher dose than is recommended on the bottle), also take the Botanical throat spray -3-4 x per day. The common causes of addenoidinis are infection, allergies and GERD. Which of these do you suspect is the issue ? If allergies take Immune Balance, if infection - Ultimate Echinacea, if Gerd , you need to stop the rebellious qi with bitters and increase gastric HCl.

Thank you very much! I believe that J's issues stem from his allergies. I'm trying to have him wear a mask on his job site (electrician) but you know, he's 22 yo. :) I will start him on the Immune Balance and see how it performs with his body. We appreciate your help!!
