Hey there David, a few questions for you. A close friend of mine was recently diagnosed with MS, it's a pretty scary situation for him as a new dad, he's really going through it. Doctors said there brain lesions and such. He reached out to me to get some help which I'd like to do. Never treated MS before so was hoping for a little guidance. From what I can tell by searching through all the monographs, seems like the foundation is all about immune amphoterics and immunoregulation, being an autoimmune condition and all. He's having a lot of the classic symptoms: lightning bolts shooting through his body, tingling in the fingers and hands, difficulty walking normally, etc. Seemed like some nervine trophorestoratives would be good too there yes? Avena, Hericium, Hypericum, perhaps Zanthoxylum (for the tingles). ?? Also, I was reading up on the Frankincense monograph about the study showing the standardized extract to prove useful for reducing the brain lesions. This was a pretty exciting bit for me to read. I checked out that study, but unfortunately it didn't seem to give the dosage, frequency, or concentration of the standardized extract. Though I was only able to see the abstract and can't seem to access the full article. The one in question is this: Stürner, K.H., Stellmann, J.P., et al, A Standardised Frankincense Extract Reduces Disease Activity in Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (the SABA Phase IIa Trial), J Neurol Neurosurg Psychiatry 2018 Apr;89(4):330-8 I was wondering if you per chance have the full study and if it has more details on what exactly they were using? I know this is definitely not the format for something complex like this, but just thought I'd reach out and see if you have any pointers. Have you had much experience treating MS? Thanks David

From what I can tell by searching through all the monographs, seems like the foundation is all about immune amphoterics and immunoregulation, being an autoimmune condition and all. Correct, plus neuro-antiinflammatories. Avena - not so much, Hericium - possibly, Hypericum - yes, perhaps Zanthoxylum (for the tingles). ?? yes, also alpha-lipoid acid I know this is definitely not the format for something complex like this, but just thought I’d reach out and see if you have any pointers. Have you had much experience treating MS? Yes, I have treated a fair number of cases with fairly good results, I have one patient who has been in remission for 20 years (that supposedly does not happen). Look at gut dysbiosis with loss of intestinal epithelial barrier function, heal the gut, remove possible food sensitivities, neurotoxins from the diet and environment, make sure they do not have Lyme disease which can masquerade as MS.
