I have a 12 year old friend (91 pounds) who is taking H and A's Focus Formula - 1 mL BID or TID. Like many people these days, she also needs herbs to help her fall asleep. She takes a simple formula each night around bedtime that is a dose of 2mLs of fresh chamomile glycerite with about 12 drops of passionflower.
Her mom wants to give her an additional 15 drops of skullcap tincture on top of this bedtime dose to help her get to sleep because the chamomile and passionflower aren't enough.
They've been dealing with many nights of her not being able to fall asleep until 11pm or so for a while now, and she says that adding the skullcap has worked very well, and her child is bright and happy the next day. My question: Is this too many herbs on a regular basis for a child of this bodyweight and age? She also takes daily elderberry and zinc. Her stable, loving and supportive family is awaiting an appointment with a physician to see if she could have ADHD. She is very healthy in all other aspects. Thank you, Lea
