Hi, David--from what I can gather, red ginseng is (pretty much always) more effective than white ginseng--for example, in reducing asthma symptoms and improving neurological health. I wonder if the adaptogenic properties are stronger in red ginseng. I have often used white ginseng since it is supposedly less heating and stimulating. I would love to know your thoughts. It seems like a valuable plant for many elders, including menopausal women who often have trouble with excess heat.
