So I have a client with a primary complaint of tinnitus. I’m just curious if you have any suggestions for differentiating underlying patterns of tinnitus. It’s constant, high pitched, both ears and been there a long time (over 10 years). Been to EENT and they sent him to a cognitive therapist to treat ptsd and adhd (🤷‍♂️) which did nothing for the tinnitus at all. Ruled out nsaid use side effect. Just curious if you have any clinical/assessment tips. I’ve reviewed the MM and it seems there’s the primary remedies you tend to use like gastrodia, drynaria, eclipta etc but I can’t find any of these remedies as simples anywhere (though I will get ground ivy from H&A). The only one I really have is hypericum and pulsatilla. For the TCM ones I Tried H&A, golden needle, heron… nada. I find it tough to find TCM remedies as simples, they always seem to be formulas. Suggestions for where to find some of those specific tinnitus remedies? Thanks David!

Ok so I guess golden needle has most of these but as extract granules. I’m a bit new to those preparations. Do you ever make formulas with those? Seems a bit much to do extract granules tea and tincture- I was hoping to just get tinctures of them so I can formulate like I’m used to. Thoughts?

David said: I would get the Gastrodia and and drynaria as TCM extract granules, I would hope Legendary Herbs has them. I also use Cordyceps and Goji Berry which H & A makes as well as other companies. So SJW, Ground Ivy, Goji Berry and Cordyceps can be used as tinctures, and have the person add in Gastrodia and Drynaria extract granules to the tinctures with some water in a glass. Does that make sense to you? The other option is to make your own Drynaria and Gastrodia tinctures, that is what I do.
